About The Event
This is a series of mini-workshops designed to help teenagers understand what anxiety is, how it triggers and how they can cope with it. The series will open with a look at what happens in the brain and what happens in their bodies, some of the external causes and what the can do to begin to get a control over their anxiety.
The workshops are interactive and hands-on. Over the following sessions we will integrate psychology, art and drama therapy and mindfulness techniques so that by the end of the 6 weeks the participants have a 'tool-kit' of coping mechanisms as well as a support group to help them deal with their symptoms.
The workshops are 2 hours in length and participants are expected to attend each session. The full fee is £90 (£15 per session). The full fee must be paid whether participants can attend or not.
